Iran’s Interim Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, has disclosed that the country’s forces have carried out 67 operations against the United States, US, in the past 48 hours.
Arafi disclosed that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked six US bases in four countries and two Iraqi provinces.
The surge in operations comes amid growing tensions following cross-border strikes, drone attacks and retaliatory actions tied to the broader conflict between Iran, its allied militias and U.S. and Israeli military forces.

Arafi was appointed as Iran’s temporary Leadership Council. The leadership council body is responsible for carrying out the duties of the Supreme Leader until the Assembly of Experts selects a successor.
His appointment followed the death of former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei during a US airstrike.
Arafi, a senior cleric and member of the Guardian Council, will serve alongside Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the head of the judiciary under constitutional provisions while a permanent successor is selected.
