A ballistic missile launched from Iran has struck the city of Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, leaving at least nine civilians dead and several homes reduced to rubble.
The attack, which hit a residential neighbourhood, shattered families and caused widespread destruction, as emergency responders rushed to rescue survivors trapped beneath debris.
Authorities say the strike formed part of a wider barrage of missile attacks amid escalating regional tensions.
