Terrorist organisation, Islamic State Sahel, IS-Sahel, has executed four ‘idol worshippers’ and two sorcerers in northeast Burkina Faso.
The terrorist organisation, according to security expert in the Sahel region, Brant Philip, had earlier released an image of the execution of three JNIM fighters.
The image also contained the killing of two Burkinabe militiamen and one Nigerien militiaman.
According to Phillip, they were all killed together near Ley Seno, in northeast Burkina Faso.
“In the same area of northeast Burkina Faso, IS-Sahel also executed four ‘idol worshippers’ and two sorcerers,” he said.
He quoted the terrorists as saying “that these last two were killed by sword, after their appearance in front of the IS-Sahel ‘judiciary office/court”.
Meanwhile, suspected bandits attacked Kabe village in Borgu local government area of Niger State on Tuesday, killing an 85-year-old woman, Hajiya Amina Adamu, and stealing food items of residents of the area.
Also, residents of Turan District in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State were once again thrown into grief after suspected armed herders carried out another deadly assault, resulting in the deaths of two farmers and the abandonment of several villages.
The latest violence was said to have taken place on Wednesday afternoon, starting from Imande Avur before extending to nearby Abande and Mbaikyor communities.
