Italy: A Senegalese arrested with 46 balls of cocaine in front of a cemetery

A Senegalese was arrested on Wednesday evening in Rome (Italy) for “trafficking in cocaine”. The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was found by the Italian carabiniers on the parking lot of the old cemetery of Via San Giovanni. According to Les Échos, for several days, the forces of order were discreetly following his movements, after several denunciations designating him as a trafficker active in the zone. When they decided to intervene, the man tried to get rid of the drug by throwing it into a bush. But the police quickly recovered 46 doses of cocaine, carefully packed in sealed bottles. A search of his home allowed the investigators to seize “a precision balance, 800 euros in cash (about 500 000 F CFA), supposedly from the income of his trafficking”. Assigned to a residence under surveillance pending his trial, l’homme devra répondre devant la justice italienne, indique le journal.
