A Senegalese worker whose identity has not been revealed has lost his life in a labour accident. A 29-year-old man fell from a scaffolding 20 metres from the ground on a construction site in north-west Italy. The accident happened on Saturday. Despite the rapidity of the rescue operation, the victim succumbed on the spot. “The Italian road police, the highway management company and the ADL (local health agency)’s prevention and safety at work service technicians visited the site to make the findings of an investigation”, reports Libération, which gives the information in its edition of this Monday. “The investigators will have to determine whether all the safety measures have been respected: the wearing of protective equipment, the stability of the equipment, the training and adequate supervision of the site”, warns le journal.
