Jealous Down and Kopano FC played a successful game that ended with a score of 1-0 at Green Point ground on Saturday.

Tsakani – Jealous Down and Kopano FC played a U15 soccer match at Green Point ground, Ext 13, on March 1. In the gloomy weather, the teams went head-to-head in a friendly game. Both teams displayed a desire to win.

“The first half was not difficult. We could put into practice everything we do at the gym on the ground. We, however, did not reach our targeted goals.

“In the second half, both teams fought hard to score goals, and that is when we scored our first goal. One of our biggest mistakes is not maintaining structure. In the second half, we failed to maintain touches to the ball,” said Jealous Down coach Ayabonga Nxumalo.

Nxumalo mentioned he was not quite pleased with his team’s performance but aims to improve his team’s skills during practice. The game ended with a win for Jealous Down and a winning score of 0-1 against Kopano FC.

“My players played the game with enthusiasm. They remained focused, and I am delighted with how they performed.

“I aim to focus on my defence players, install courage and teamwork. They often rely on one player to carry them throughout the game; this needs to stop, and they need to work more as a team.

“My team is yet to learn how to tackle the ball strategically; my defence team needs to focus more during the game,” he added.
