In Ziguinchor, the Téranga Skills initiative organised a competition of professions a few weeks ago, which was closed with the presentation of the laureates who will represent the region at the national competition. La plomberie, la restauration, la pâtisserie, la menuiserie métallique et la coiffure have been selected for this first edition. According to the coordinator of FIT-Sénégal, maître d’œuvre, the Téranga Skills initiative seeks to enhance the skills and know-how of young people from vocational training institutions and the Chambre des métiers through this competition. “Téranga Skills is therefore more than a competition, it is a platform of opportunities, a stepping stone to employment and a showcase of Senegalese excellence in the professions.
