On Saturday, a unique prayer for rain took place at the Umar Bin Khattab Mosque in Kano, attracting many locals who were looking for spiritual help due to the ongoing insufficient rainfall in the region. The council of Ulama, headed by Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, organized this special prayer, which garnered a large turnout. After the prayer, Sheikh Khalil encouraged residents to increase their worship to gain Allah’s mercy and promote prosperity. The state of Kano has been facing irregular rainfall, raising worries among farmers about its potential impact on this year’s crop yield, despite the rainy season being well underway.
