Lawal, who was part of Uganda Premier League team Vipers Sports Club, was en route to the Vipers’ training site at St. Mary’s Stadium in Entebbe, Central Uganda, when the fatal crash occurred on Entebbe Road. In a statement on their X account, Kano Pillars expressed their sorrow over the unexpected death of the 29-year-old, who also played for Wikki Tourists and Nasarawa United.
