Kenya has officially eliminated visa requirements for Nigeria and all African and most Caribbean nations, as reported by Kenya Times on Sunday. This means travelers from these countries, including Nigerians, will no longer need an Electronic Travel Authorization to enter Kenya. However, this exemption does not apply to Libya and Somalia, which are deemed security threats by the Kenyan authorities. This decision reflects President William Ruto’s view that easing entry processes will facilitate access for tourists and investors. According to DAILY POST, the Kenyan government signaled in January 2025 that it plans to implement various measures to enhance travel experiences. This announcement coincides with Nigeria’s recent update to its Visa-on-Arrival policy.
