King Paluta’s Makoma May Have Been Disqualified Due to It Being An ‘NPP’ Song – Ziga

Ghanaian pleasure journalist, Ziga, has stated that there is a chance that the dismissal of King Paluta’s beat music, Makoma, from TGMA argument might have something to do with politicians.
Speaking on United Showbiz on United Television ( UTV ) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, Ziga said it cannot be ruled out that the song’s use by the former ruling NPP, who are currently in opposition, contributed to the song’s exclusion from TGMA nomination.
One of the biggest songs of the last calendar year, King Paluta’s Makoma failed to receive any nomination for the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards ( TGMA ).
The TGMA Board has yet to officially comment on the matter but it is commonly understood that a presumably’ profane’ song led to the song’s disqualification.
Speaking on the subject, Ziga noted that the Board’s lack of clarity is fueling debate over the true reason for the dismissal.
Ziga outlined a school of thought that politicians led to the song’s dismissal, adding that he believes that idea also has validity.
Ziga called on the TGMA Board to launch a speech on the subject to place all to relax and close all theories.
