Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate thinks Mohamed Salah will be keen to win trophies with the team as he approaches the Ballon d’Or. The Egyptian star is having an incredible season, scoring 21 goals and assisting 17 times in 29 competitive games.
In a chat with Sky Sports, Konate noted that Salah has accomplished a great deal with the club. His words: “What he has achieved since the beginning of the season, and even since joining Liverpool… it’s remarkable.
“I truly hope we accomplish amazing things this season, as I believe he could win the Ballon d’Or if he keeps performing this way.
“However, he will never express a desire to win the Ballon d’Or because I think his main focus is on winning significant titles with Liverpool.
“He doesn’t see himself as someone focused on scoring more goals or getting more assists; his main desire is to win the game. He simply wants to pass on his experience to the younger players. It’s amazing to see a player of his age being so professional.
