Tsakani – The U13 friendly game between the Kopano FC and ST Manu played out at the Ext 5 Police Station ground on April 27.
The action-filled game started energetically, with both aiming for a win.
“The game was fast-paced and tough. Both our teams were beyond eager to win the games and created opportunities for themselves. As a coach, I kept them motivated and encouraged teamwork and ongoing communication,” explained coach Tisetso Mofokeng.
The game ended 4-2 for the Kopano FC.
“It was not easy to beat our opponents because they are a competitive team that always creates a battle on the field.
“A successful game always has mistakes and challenges. Our defenders made a few mistakes at first, which included losing form, but that was corrected in the second half.
”Beyond that, we won by using each opportunity that presented itself. We kept the same pace and spirit throughout the game, and I am happy,” said Mofokeng.
Mofokeng thanked his team for winning.
“Shaping our players and offering them soccer skills that will last for a lifetime is what we do best. I desire to see these boys make names for themselves and form part of big clubs.
“The best way to do this is by being patient with them and allowing each player to make mistakes they can learn from,” he added.
The ST Manu coach did not wish to comment.
