Ghanaian city of Accra on February 14, 2025, announced that Samuel Nartey George, the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, has resigned Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo from his position as Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA ).
Osafo-Maafo was instructed to finger over his duties to Rev. in a letter dated February 14, 2025, signed by Chief Director Alexander Yaw Arphul. Ing. The NCA’s Acting Director General, Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, has just been appointed.
According to a percentage of the notice,” I wish to tell you that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations has terminated your session as the Director of Cyber Security of the National Communications Authority.”
According to the terms of his appointment, Osafo-Maafo will receive three months ‘ salary in lieu of notice, as provided in paragraph 8 of his engagement letter.

Osafo-Maafo had been in charge of Ghana’s cyber resilience techniques at the NCA since August 2017 and had been in charge of the Cyber Security Division there for seven times and seven weeks.
