The government of Kwara State has notified owners of residential properties that have been repurposed for commercial activities in Ilorin, the state capital. AbdulAkeem Abdulsalam, the General Manager of the Town Planning Authority at the Kwara State Geographic Information Service, confirmed this information during an interview with reporters in Ilorin on Monday. He explained that this initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s nationwide urban renewal program being carried out in various states. Abdulsalam stated, “Enforcement will begin shortly after the residents in certain major road areas of the state capital receive their warning notices.” They ought to anticipate receiving that notification. When asked about the timing of the enforcement, he replied, “it could happen at any moment.”
