Lagos: Animashaun swears in new supervisory councillors, advisers in EpeĀ 

The Chairman of Epe Local Government Area, Surah Animashaun, has inaugurated newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants during a ceremony held at the council secretariat in Ita-Marin.

In a statement made available to journalists on Saturday, Animashaun described the swearing-in ceremony as a significant milestone for her administration.

She noted that the appointments carry a responsibility for the new officials to serve the residents of Epe with commitment, transparency and meaningful results.

According to the statement, the chairman congratulated the appointees and urged them to see their roles as an opportunity to contribute positively to the growth and development of the council area.

Animashaun reiterated that her administration remains guided by the vision of sustained progress for Epe, stressing that key priorities will continue to include infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, and overall community advancement.

Also speaking at the event, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, commended the council chairman for what he described as purposeful leadership.

He encouraged the newly sworn-in officials to support the administration’s development agenda with dedication and a strong commitment to public service.

The lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Wale Raji, congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence placed in them through diligent service.

He also encouraged them to ensure that the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is effectively delivered to the people of Epe.

In his remarks, the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abiodun Tobun, praised the chairman’s commitment to the development of the area.

He called on the newly appointed officials to work collaboratively with the current administration in sustaining progress and ensuring more democratic dividends reach the people.

The event was attended by several political leaders and stakeholders, including the Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, Sikiru Owolomoshe; former member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bola Gbabijo; former Commissioner of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Ahmed Seriki; former chairman of Epe Local Government, Hassan Adedoyin; and Director of Lekki Free Zone Parcel B, Tunde Ogunkoya, among others.
