Valencia’s manager, Carlos Corberán, had positive remarks for Umar Sadiq after the forward’s first match for the Spanish team. Sadiq debuted for Los Ches in the 2-0 Copa del Rey win against Eldense on Tuesday night. Corberán, who recently left West Bromwich Albion in the Sky Bet Championship for Valencia, commended the Nigerian international for his outstanding attitude. “From the very beginning, he (Sadiq) has shown the right attitude and mindset to play for Valencia CF,” Corberán told journalists after the match. “Anyone who joins must bring that level of commitment and the desire to contribute.” Today marked the first step in which he demonstrated the attitude needed for this moment. The 27-year-old signed with Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad last weekend. Valencia has the choice to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
