This Sunday, the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Cheikh Tidiane Dieye, arrived in Kédougou aboard a military plane. He led a delegation from the Council of Ministers of the Organisation for the Development of the Gambia River (OMVG) on a mission to monitor the work on the Sambangalou dam, situated in the south-east of the country. The Sambangalou dam, which is currently under construction, plays a key role in the hydroelectric development, water supply and irrigation in the subregion.Through this mission, the OMVG reaffirms its commitment to ensure the smooth running of the project, which should strengthen the energy integration and water resilience of the member countries.
