The renovation work of the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium is soon coming to an end. According to information reported by Wiw Sport, the Lions would even consider playing their next match there. According to Wiw Sport, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) does not close the door to this possibility. Discussions are under way with the competent authorities to host meetings, particularly those planned for September. In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Senegal will face Sudan on the field on 17 March before receiving Togo on 24 March. The match against les Éperviers could thus mark the return of the Lions to the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium. The latest images of the construction site, shared this Tuesday by the Ministry of Sports, testify to the significant progress of the renovations. The installation phase of the seats should begin shortly, thus confirming the proximity of the completion of the works.
