On the occasion of the 13th conference “Gaza: Symbol of the Resistance” held in Tehran, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem issued a clear warning against Israel. He urged the Lebanese State to take firm measures in the face of Israeli violations of the ceasefire. “The Palestinian resistance and the people have thwarted Israel’s dangerous plan”, he declared, putting forward the contribution of Hezbollah to the victory of Gaza. Qassem insisted on the continuing power of the resistance in Lebanon, adding that the group would not give up in the face of the attempts of eradication promoted by Israel. Regarding the Israeli violations, Naim Qassem explained that the Hezbollah has shown patience to leave time for the Lebanese State and international mediators to intervene. However, he warned: “I urge you not to test our patience further”, calling for decisive action against the multiple violations perpetrated by Israel. Since 27 November 2024, a precarious ceasefire has been established, ending a period of intense conflicts between Israel and Hezbollah that began in October 2023. Anadolu reports that 564 Israeli violations have been recorded to date, causing the death of 37 people and injuring 45. In retaliation, Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on 2 December 2024 towards Ruwaisat Al-Alam, in the Kfar Shuba hills occupied by Israel. Qassem also rejected all attempts to exclude Hezbollah from the Lebanese political landscape, affirming their key role in “the structure and progress of Lebanon”..
