On his Facebook page, the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD), Waly Diouf Bodiang, reacted strongly to the peaceful march recently organized to demand the release of Farba Ngom, detained in the framework of a judicial inquiry. In its publication, M. Diouf Bodiang severely criticizes the initiators and participants of the demonstration, whom he calls “delinquents”. According to him, the march would have served as a pretext for some political leaders to “propose the overthrow of the power in place” and “call for the establishment of a transitional government”. “A demonstration organized by delinquents for the benefit of other delinquents, during which these same delinquents propose to overthrow the government so that a delinquent terminates the current mandate. The criminals, on the coffre and on passe à autre chose”, he wrote on Facebook. This declaration is aimed in particular at Pape Malick Ndour, former minister and member of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), who, during the march, would have affirmed that “we must create a transitional government”.
