Kwa-Thema – Thabo Twala, known to his fans as Sabo-X, was born and raised in a musical orientated family. The hip-hop artist and producer’s journey was inspired by his uncle who has sensational love for hip-hop and music in general.

His uncle had a recording studio which he frequently visited, and it inspired him to write music which is how he became an artist.

He believes that he was destined to make his mark, looking up to artist such as Conway The Machine, Blaklez and PDot O.

“I have worked with Blaklez, TLT Amazing, Tct Music and Jay Jody, and I would love to work with artists such as A-reece, Emtee and Stove God Cooks.

“I am currently working on an album titled Life of an Audio Dope Dealer with Tct Music which already features Jay Jody and potentially more artists. The project is set to change the hip-hop scene and should be released in July,” explained Twala.

“My vision is to make hip-hop cool again while growing the culture. A lot of young people are not cultured when it comes to hip-hop,” he explained.

He received an award in 2019 in the lyricist of the year category at the Springs Hip-Hop Awards.

“My music is focused on the everyday ills that our society experiences that people never spoken about. I write about things all around me. I am the voice of the voiceless. Music is made to encourage other positively.

“Hip-hop has taught me humility. It has been like a booklet guiding me towards the light, and has always stood up for the weak,” he concluded.
