The National Division for the Fight against the Trafficking of Migrants (DNLT) has updated a vast network of fraud involving false visas, identity theft and falsified documents. Three figures from the sporting world, Alioune Badara Diaw, player agent and president of the Talent Foot academy in Grand-Médine, former footballer Yaya Ba, and coach Amadou Ly, have been sentenced to life imprisonment in Dakar. The case was started by a complaint from Abdou Rahmane Diack. He accuses Diaw of having obtained more than 2.7 million CFA francs by promising him the tests of preselection in Italy for his cadet brother. “Since the remission of the money, Libération reports, he has died”, he told investigators. Other victims followed. Ismaïla Mané claims to have paid 1.2 million francs CFA for a French visa for his sister-in-law.
