Mansour Faye sonne l’alarme: A Sénégal at risk under the PASTEF regime

The mayor of the city of Saint-Louis, Mansour Faye, distinguished himself by a statement that reflects his pessimism regarding the future of Senegal under the current regime. In a post on his Facebook page, the former minister sous Macky Sall has expressed his vive inquiétude pour l’avenir de la République sénégalaise. He severely criticizes the management of the country by the PASTEF regime, which he accuses of lacking professionalism and competence. “I am afraid, not for me, but for my country”, he affirmed. According to Mansour Faye, the Senegal, fruit of numerous sacrifices, is today in danger under the conduct of leaders “sortis de nulle part” and obsessed by their quest for power. It rejects a governance which it considers disconnected from social realities and incapable of responding to the legitimate aspirations of citizens. Mansour Faye directly accuses Ousmane Sonko and his entourage of diverting attention from the real national issues by targeting political opposition figures. He spoke of a “compressor roll” aimed at neutralising the figures of the Alliance for the Republic (APR) and its allies. Among the personalities already targeted, he cites Hamat Suzanne Camara, Lat Diop, and Moustapha Diakhaté, while affirming that Farba Ngom and other opponents could be the next targets.
