La Ligue sénégalaise de football professionnel (LSFP) has announced the relocation of all the matches presenting a major security issue to the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium for the entire 2025-2026 sports season. In a letter addressed to the President of the AS Pikine, the LSFP explains that this measure aims to guarantee a more supervised organization of sensitive meetings. It welcomes, in passing, the efforts made by some clubs in the field of security: “The league wishes to accompany this dynamic for the matches of clubs identified as popular in our championship. I’m not sure. La Ligue has also invited the managers of AS Pikine to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday 26 November with the stadium management, in order to define the organizational modalities of the Pikine-Guédiawaye match, scheduled for 7 December 2025.
