The prefect of Dakar, Cherif Mouhamadou Makhtar Blondin Ndiaye, has issued a decree on Thursday, 6 November 2025, fixing the conditions for the organization of the political meeting of the Pastef party (the African Patriots of Senegal for work, ethics and fraternity) scheduled for this Saturday, 8 November 2025. The decree No 432/P/D/DK/SP is the result of a request made by Messrs. El Hadji Ababacar Tambedou, Abdou Khadre Samake and Al Demba Mbaye on behalf of the Pastef, under the chairmanship of their leader Ousmane Sonko. This ground meeting, which promises to be a great popular gathering, has finally obtained the authorization of the administrative authorities, with strict conditions. According to the prefectural decree, the political meeting shall be held under the following conditions: Location: the parking lot of the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor. The beginning of the demonstration at 16h; the end of the demonstration and dislocation at 21h. Article 2 of the judgment states that this decision excludes any excesses liable to disturb the movement of persons and goods. The organisers and participants must therefore ensure that public order is respected. This meeting constitutes a major event for Pastef and its leader Ousmane Sonko, who are expected to mobilize their militants and sympathizers in the parking lot of the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium this Saturday.
