Members of the Tambura community have received training from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to safeguard civilians amidst conflict.

For years, the people of Tambura have faced persistent insecurity, suffering the loss of their lives, homes, and means of living due to abrupt outbreaks of violence. The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is dedicated to ensuring the safety of civilians by conducting swift and strong peacekeeping patrols. Additionally, UNMISS aims to empower local authorities and communities to improve their own security. Recently, the mission trained members of the Tambura community to safeguard civilians amidst conflict.
