Members of the Tambura community have received training from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to safeguard civilians amidst conflict.

For years, the people of Tambura have suffered from insecurity, resulting in the loss of lives, homes, and sources of income due to unexpected outbreaks of violence. The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is dedicated to safeguarding civilians by conducting swift and strong peacekeeping patrols, while also building the capabilities of local authorities and communities to improve security. Recently, community members in Tambura received training from UNMISS aimed at protecting civilians amid conflicts.
