The organising committee of the Maouloud de Merina Sarr, in the department of Bambey, expressed its wish to see the religious site modernised. During the local development committee (CLD) devoted to the event, the necessity of rehabilitating the building of Mame Niacour Sarr, founder of the Maouloud à Merina Sarr in 1887, was underlined.
