Mikel states that the only player capable of securing a place in PSG’s first team is Caicedo.

John Obi Mikel, the former captain of the Super Eagles, has identified Moises Caicedo of Chelsea as the sole player who could potentially join the starting lineup of Paris Saint-Germain. Mikel shared this opinion ahead of the Club World Cup final between Chelsea and PSG, scheduled at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In an interview with talkSPORT, he expressed that the Ecuadorian midfielder possesses the skills necessary to secure a position in PSG’s starting eleven. Obi Mikel is confident that the Ecuadorian player could take over João Neves’ position in the PSG roster, while emphasizing the necessity of having Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha in the lineup. Prior to the FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday, the 38-year-old pointed out that Caicedo could effectively replace João Neves in PSG’s starting team. “It’s a challenging decision,” Obi Mikel stated to talkSPORT when asked which Chelsea player might make it into Luis Enrique’s squad. “I think Moises Caicedo might just make it. But you have to find a way to include both Caicedo and Vitinha, as Vitinha is essential to that team.” He has been outstanding. “Ruiz is in top form and consistently finding the back of the net. It’s possible that Caicedo could take Joao Neves’ place, just possibly.
