An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted between Yar Danya and Maikwanugga villages in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been safely neutralized by military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama shared the report on X on Thursday, saying the operation took place on Wednesday around 2:00 p.m.
“The device was discovered along a key village route, and the EOD team successfully detonated it, preventing possible harm to residents and commuters in the area,” Makama wrote.
Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, alongside other security forces, have intensified patrol and monitoring activities in the area to ensure the safety of local communities and prevent further threats.
