Troops of the Joint Task Force under Operation HADIN KAI, OPHK, have intercepted two trucks conveying large quantities of suspected terrorist logistics supplies along the Maiduguri Mafa Road in Borno State.
According to military sources, the operation led to the arrest of 16 suspected logistics suppliers believed to be aiding terrorist activities in the region.
The seized items, found in the trucks, are said to include materials suspected to heading to insurgents operating within the North East.
The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing preliminary investigation, while the recovered items have been secured by the military.
The development is part of ongoing efforts by Operation HADIN KAI to disrupt terrorist supply chains and restore peace in the North East region of Nigeria.
