The mining sector in Senegal is experiencing unprecedented growth. Under the impetus of the structural reforms implemented by the Government led by Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, the dividends paid to the State reached a record level in 2020: 223 242 billion FCFA, an increase of 241% compared to the annual average of the previous four years. According to the figures published by the Yoor-Yoor journal, this exceptional performance marks a clear break with past trends. Between 2425 and 2024, mining dividends amounted to an average of 18,326 billion FCFA. The bond registered in 2025 is therefore a strong signal of the new end of governance and recovery of natural resources. The table of mining dividends illustrates a dynamic of continuous progression, with a decisive inflexion from 2023 onwards. 2021: 413,82 billion FCFA.
