In an official communiqué released on Wednesday, the SunuBRT project managers announced the temporary, total or partial closure of several stations of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network, as of 6 August 2025, for a duration of six months. This measure is part of the completion of works and the replacement of damaged equipment at certain stations of the network. The objective of Dakar Mobilité is to strengthen the quality, safety and reliability of the BRT infrastructure in order to offer users a modern transport experience in line with international standards. In its communiqué, SunuBRT underlines that all the dates of closure, reopening and practical information will be communicated in advance for each station concerned.
