‘My Exposés Have Saved Ghana Millions; I Don’t Do It For Personal Or Political Gain’ – Ablakwa

The candidate for foreign affairs minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has claimed that his exposés on fraud and economic mismanagement have saved Ghana millions of dollars. He defended his work to expose transgressions in a statement made before the Appointments Committee on January 31, 2025, while stressing the importance of monitoring in protecting public money.
” My exposés have saved this land millions of dollars”, Ablakwa said. ” If we don’t stay vigilant and call out monetary abnormalities, Ghana will continue to lose valuable assets that could be used for growth”.
He cited instances where his studies resulted in the revocation of dubious government deals and the elimination of unnecessary expenditures. Ablakwa refuted accusations that his steps were politically motivated, stating that the Ghanaian people’s passions have always been at the forefront.
” I don’t indulge in these exposés for personal or political gain”, he stated. ” It’s my goal to make sure that the nation’s sources are used wisely and not to be squandering them on dark offers.”
Ablakwa assured the commission that if approved, he may carry out his foreign affairs ministership with the same degree of attention and clarity. He pledged to hold Ghana’s diplomatic missions and offices responsible for their effective operation.
” I did continue to stand for dignity and accountability”, he concluded. ” Ghana’s foreign company may reflect these beliefs, ensuring we serve our citizens and protect the country’s standing internationally”.
