Le CEM 2 Valdiodio Ndiaye de Kaolack was the scene of a lively agitation this Thursday morning. Twelve young girls were seized with convulsive seizures after an old tree of the establishment suddenly caught fire at around 9 o’clock. Alerted, the firefighters quickly intervened to control the flames and evacuate the victims to the sanitary structures of the city. If some people evoke natural or accidental causes, others see a supernatural manifestation, particularly in connection with the legend of “Djiné Maïmouna”. Faced with the general mood, the administration has taken the decision to suspend classes until further notice. An investigation could be opened to shed light on this disturbing event which continues to fuel speculation within the school community and beyond.
