Naval ship sinking: US will regret bitterly – Iran vows

Iran has vowed that the United States will regret bitterly for sinking its navy ship in international waters off the coast of Sri Lanka, near India.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, made this vow on Thursday.

This is the first time the Iranian government acknowledged that the US sank its IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean.

In a post on X, Araghchi said the US has perpetrated an atrocity at sea, 2,000 miles away from Iran’s shores.

“Frigate Dena, a guest of India’s Navy carrying almost 130 sailors, was struck in international waters without warning. “Mark my words: The U.S. will come to bitterly regret of the precedent it has set,” he wrote.

DAILY POST recalls that the United States had earlier said that it sank the Iranian Navy ship.
