Negotiations between Senegal and the IMF on a new cooperation agreement will take place from Monday to Saturday, 18 October, in Washington. These are planned on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the institution and the World Bank. The Senegalese delegation is already in the American capital to prepare for the meeting, which is crucial; Senegal is suffering from the freezing of the disbursements of the Fund following the case of false figures of the public debt and deficit. According to Libération, the Senegalese team arrived Saturday in Washington and is led by the Minister of Finance and Budget, Cheikh Diba. The journal did not detail the composition of the Senegalese delegation.
