The National Assembly adopted the draft law on the Investment Code 2025, marking a new stage in Senegal’s efforts to modernize its legal and institutional framework in order to improve the business climate and attract more investors. The new system, which is the result of a consultation process involving the public administration, the private sector and civil society, is intended to be inclusive, balanced and adapted to the requirements of competitiveness, while taking account of sustainability and inclusion. Des major innovations are introduced. The Code des Investissements 2025 brings several new features, among which: Simplification and digitalisation of procedures through a single, dematerialized account; Reduction of processing times with a target of 10 working days. Stable fiscal and customs incentives ensuring visibility and security for investors (3 years in Dakar/Thiès, 5 years in the other regions).
