A new YouTube show highlights local artists and unreleased music, giving underground talent a platform to shine.

Tsakani- Unplugged and Unreleased is a passion-driven project born from a collaboration between Dream Stream Team (media group) and Damage Control RSA (musical duo).

The collaboration’s vision is to uplift and unite local talent, and the show is gaining momentum both online and offline.

Unplugged and Unreleased features local artists, live music and unreleased music by artists who come from different corners.

“The show provides a unique experience for viewers watching on YouTube. It promotes positivity by showcasing local talent, providing a platform for self-expression, and fostering a sense of community.

“It offers a platform to underground artists and emerging artists to express themselves while putting their music out there for the world to see,” said Damaged RSA member Nkosinathi Masango.

Masango mentioned that the show started in Randburg, and their first episode is yet to be released.

“The good that came out of it is that we were able to accumulate 14 300 views on YouTube in just 14 days. Additionally, it led to Damage Control RSA securing a radio interview on April 4.

“The vision is to promote local music, and the mission is to support upcoming, young and old artists. The programme features unreleased music from local artists,” he said.
