‘Neymar supports Cristiano Ronaldo in comparing the Saudi Pro League to Ligue 1.’

Former Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar Jr. has supported Cristiano Ronaldo’s statement that the Saudi Pro League is superior to the French Ligue 1. Neymar, now playing for Al-Hilal, was part of PSG from 2017 to 2023. According to DAILY POST, during the Globe Soccer Awards in December, Ronaldo claimed that the SPL surpasses Ligue 1, despite never having played in France himself, as he is celebrated in La Liga, the Premier League, and Serie A. His remarks sparked significant debate, with some football legends, including Emmanuel Petit, disagreeing. However, in a CNN Sport interview, Neymar agreed with Ronaldo, stating, “Today, I think it is [stronger].” The quality of the Saudi Pro League is rising, and in my opinion, it’s superior to Ligue 1. While Ligue 1 has its advantages, The league is very powerful. I participated in it, so I’m familiar with this. Nowadays, the players in the Saudi Pro League have improved. “Saudi Arabia has positively surprised me.” The population, the nation, the towns, the traditions. I believe it’s a nation that is consistently developing. “It will host the World Cup in 2034, which I think will be amazing.” Neymar spent several years in France playing for PSG, a team he transferred to from Barcelona.
