Nicole Perez, Metairie Mum Killed in New Orleans Attack Mourned On Instagram and FB 

Nicole Perez, a 28-year-old mum of a 4-year-old boy has been identified as one of the victims of the New Orleans attack, with condolences being shared on all social platforms including Instagram, Facebook and X ( formerly Twitter ).
Perez, of Metairie LA, was one of 15 citizens killed when a’ crazy’ identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar rammed his vehicle into a crowd of people on Whiskey Street beginning Wednesday, January 1 2025.
Over a hundred people were killed and more were hurt in the attack, which took place as the crowd rang in the new year. Family members and friends are taking to social media to express their grief and confirm their names while officials are still identifying patients. In some instances, donations have also been set up to help the grieving families.
Nicole Perez, 27, was a Deli supervisor in Metairie who had just been promoted to the position, according to the Shreveport Bossier City Advocate on Instagram. When the vehicle attacked happened, she was with friends, and she was taken to University Hospital, where she unluckily succumbed to her injury.

Her companion and director, Kimberly Usher-Hall, said she was a great person and individual and a great mother. Perez had just moved into a new house and was usually in a good position in her career.
” She was a wonderful family”, Usher-Fall told ABC News ‘ Diane Macedo. She simply was a truly interesting young woman and was committing herself to love.
According to her, Perez often brought her son, Melvin ( Melo ) to work and was helping him learn math and to read.
Usher-Fall set up a GoFundMe in Perez’s storage to support out her child.
” Her brother Melo is now without his mother, and we are without our friend and hardworking employee. I’m hoping to cover her son’s cremation costs and those that will require him to move into a new home. the gala read. It has so far raised over$ 30, 000, with an overall target of$ 50, 000.

” Bad kid”, one people commented on Instagram on a blog identifying several subjects, including Perez.
