Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has sworn in 30 commissioners, 25 elected council chairmen and their deputies, and board members tasking

The Chief Judge Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, represented by Justice Maimuna Abubakar administered the oaths of office and allegiance held at the Hauwa Wali Multi-purpose Hall in Minna.

In his address, Governor Bago emphasized that the appointees were chosen for their proven track records and urged them to drive the ā€œNew Niger agendaā€ toward a sustainable, prosperous, and egalitarian state.

He noted the need for them to reflect on the past with a view to building a sustainable, prosperous, and egalitarian Niger State.

Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, in his remarks called on the newly sworn-in public office holders to be committed in the discharge of their duties, pointing out that their commitment will go a long way in making the New Niger agenda a success.

The board members, which include the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, the Secondary Education Board, and the Law Reform Commission were sworn-in.

Some of the newly sworn-in public office holders expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and promised to work assiduously for the realisation of the New Niger agenda.

The officials pledged to work diligently to realize the governor’s agenda for the growth and development of the state.
