Nigeria still has remnants of military rule around – Varsity don

A Professor of Communications at Baze University, Abuja, Abiodun Adeniyi, says Nigeria still has vestiges of military rule around.

Adeniyi said this on Friday while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST.

According to him, the development is likely to continue for sometime.

The university don said, “Nigeria still indirectly has vestiges of military rule around; this is likely to continue for sometime.

“We are not doing enough to memorialise and reward the military. It is important for us not to forget the memories of our fallen heroes.

“The military is very important and of course we know where we are in this country now. We are probably here discussing now because of the sacrifices they have been making over the years and they are still continuing.

“These are personnel that you can never forget. Having a special day like January 15, is a monument that deserves all the attention that we can actually give.”
