​Nnadozie and Madugu have been selected as nominees for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.    

 

Chiamaka Nnadozie, the goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, is a contender for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy, according to Completesports. The 24-year-old is competing against four other goalkeepers for the esteemed Yachine Trophy. The other contenders include Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Cata Coll (Barcelona Femeni), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea Women), and Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal Women). Nnadozie gained attention after her previous team, Paris FC, defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France Feminine final last May, winning 5-4 on penalties and securing their first major trophy in nearly twenty years. Additionally, the Super Falcons have retained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking. The goalkeeper was instrumental in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, contributing to the Super Falcons’ achievement of their record 10th title. Nnadozie achieved four clean sheets in six matches during the tournament, which took place in Morocco, and was awarded the title of best goalkeeper.
