
Heartland technical adviser, Emmanuel Amuneke, has admitted that the Nigeria National League, NNL, is tough.
Amuneke said that what matters most in the league is the maximum points.
He expressed optimism that the side will win more games in the league.
Heartland beat Smart City FC 3-1 in a matchday 11 fixture in Owerri on Saturday.
“The main target is to get the maximum points, if we can be able to score more goals its good for us,” Amuneke told Puyaka.
“Smart City are a good side, they showed their quality in both legs.
“It’s a work in progress, this league is very tough we won’t say because we are Heartland we can just walk over team’s we just want to do our work and get the maximum points needed.”
Heartland will do battle with Sunshine Stars in their next league fixture.
