Sylvanus Okpala earned high praise after Edel FC’s 2-0 defeat of Smart City FC in Saturday’s Nigeria National League (NNL) Conference A matchday 19 fixture, Completesports.com reports.. The victory catapulted the ‘Quick Silver’ side to 7th position on the NNL Conference A table with 18 points – five points behind sixth-placed Abia Comets, who have amassed 23 points from the same number of matches.. Edel FC will travel to face Abia Comets in the final match of the season this weekend, with a win or draw good enough to secure their safety.. “This is what experience is all about. He’s proved that he’s the ‘Quick Silver’ we knew during his playing career,” said one of the jubilant fans, who identified himself as Joe Akukwe..
