The former United Kingdom Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Jon Benjamin, has criticized the decision by Nana Akufo-Addo to erect a statue of himself in Sekondi.
In a tweet reacting to the news that the statue had been vandalized, Benjamin kicked against the idea of Akufo-Addo’s statue being erected while he was still in office
In fact, the ambassador said no one should have their statue erected while still alive, much less when in office.
He tweeted: “Nobody should ever put up a statue of themselves while still alive, let alone while still in office,”
