Nottingham Forest Manager Says Awoniyi Will Return to Top Form Soon

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo expresses confidence that Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi will soon return to peak form for the team. The Nigerian international has been overshadowed by Chris Wood and has had limited playing time. In an interview with the club’s website, Espirito Santo expressed his belief that Awoniyi will begin scoring for Nottingham Forest. “He can definitely return to that previous level.” Indeed, without a doubt, as he demonstrates it daily. He puts in a lot of effort, and we must remember how significant Taiwo is to Forest and the contributions he has made to the club’s history. I was lucky to watch many of the games that Taiwo played in, and his performance was excellent. I am completely certain that he will return to that. It’s about fitness, confidence, and another aspect – the time spent on the field, since Chris [Wood] is performing exceptionally well. Taiwo understands this and is humble enough to realize that he needs to be patient for his opportunity. “His moment right now won’t be when he starts, but rather when he comes on during the game.”
