Heartland FC Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, has commended his players for their resilience and determination in their 1-1 draw against Enyimba in Thursday’s 2024/2025 NPFL matchday 21 clash in Aba, Completesports.com reports.. Amuneke, the 1994 African Player of the Year, praised his players for their spirited performance in the match, stating that it would not have been surprising if they had scored four or five goals in the game.. The 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning coach with the Golden Eaglets expressed satisfaction with securing a point in the tough encounter.. Reflecting further on the Oriental Derby, Amuneke described the game as thrilling and competitive.. “It was a very interesting and exciting match from both teams. Enyimba are a big team, and we must acknowledge their achievements in the game over the years,” Amuneke remarked.. “But we came here knowing that if we could tactically manage certain aspects, especially when out of possession, it would be easier for us to win.. “Overall, we could have won the game if we had taken our chances and scored four or five goals.
